Assistant Director of Residence Life-Housing Operations

Dominican University New York seeks a dedicated Assistant Director of Residence Life in the Student Development department to provide support for the Director of Residence Life as well
as providing support for various programs within the Residence Life department. The Assistant
Director of Housing Operations is responsible for the housing area of the Office of Residence
Life, the damage billing and assessment processes, assigning undergraduate and graduate
students, and coordination of all opening and closing procedures. The Assistant Director also
serves as the primary liaison with Facilities, Custodial Services, Student Accounts, and IT.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required / Master’s Degree preferred in student affairs,
higher education administration, human and social services, facilities management, business
administration, and communications or related fields. Counseling and interpersonal skills, strong
communication and organizational skills. One – three years of student residence life, personnel, or
other higher-ed experience is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Maxient, Jenzabar, and
other housing software.
This is a 12-month live-in position.
