Dominican University's 62nd Commencement
Dominican University's 62nd annual Commencement was held at the Westchester County Center on Sunday, May 17. The Commencement Address was delivered by David W. Blight, Ph.D, the Class of 1954 Professor of American History at Yale University and Director of the Gilder-Lehrman Center for the Study of Slavery, Resistance and Abolition. Howard Goldin, a US Army Veteran and recipient of the Bronze Star who also served as Chief of the Spring Valley Police Department, received an honorary degree.
Sr. Mary Doris, OP, Director of Siena House, received the Veritas Medal, and Eda Tekeoglu '09 was named the Badami Outstanding Alumnus.
