My name is Dr. Alecia Ormond and I have been in the Business Administration field specializing in Human Resource Management for over 20 years. Additionally, I am a proud alumnus of Dominican College where they have taught me the fundamental skills needed to succeed in any business environment. It is my pleasure to teach in the Business, Innovation and Leadership Division so that I can share the same skills and knowledge to our students. Let’s work together to ensure our next generation of business leaders are motivated and well equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to be successful in any environment!
Let’s go Team!
Dr. Susanne Hartl
So much of what I have done in my life—attaining my education, building a business career, even raising our son—has prepared me for what I now do and enjoy very much—teaching college students. I recently stepped down from full time teaching and chairing the department of business at Nyack College and currently teach management courses online for Liberty University. Prior to joining the faculty at Nyack, I held several different managerial and marketing positions with prominent New York area publishing companies. I earned my Ph.D. in Organization and Management from Capella University and my M.B.A. from the University of New Orleans. In addition to teaching, I care for my aging mother. My husband and I are both active in our church and enjoy visiting our son who graduated from Nyack several years ago. (He married shortly after and now directs an accounting staff for a major travel company in nearby Connecticut where he, his wife and daughter live.) I look forward to getting to know the students and working with them to successfully master their course materials and will also enjoy getting to know the faculty and staff at Dominican University New York.

Russell Diaz
I was born as raised in the Bronx. Attended public school after third grade. My family was told that I was not smart enough to attend the Catholic school everyone else in my family attended. This sounds like bad news for me, but it was a blessing to me. In fourth grade, I met my future wife. We helped each other through middle school, high school and college. I could not have done the things I have without her support. I have worked my way up the corporate ladder as I used my AAS degree to get as job as an electronics technician on a production floor. Then used my BS to get a job as a software engineer, used training to start my networking career, and finally used the MS to move into IT management. Go figure, I now work at and teach in a Catholic College. I wish I could back to the people that removed me from Blessed Sacrament in the Bronx to let them know where I ended up.
