Dr. Chun received his B.S. in 2001 at Rutgers University and his M.A. and Ph.D. in 2010 at the University of California at Davis. His research interest primarily focuses on emotion, cognition, and their applications in attachment theory. In particular, he is interested in the cognitive processes underlying avoidant defenses and their impact on health and overall well-being. Dr. Chun teaches General Psychology, Physiological Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, and Cultural Psychology.
Andrew Burns

Dr. Burns is an Assistant Professor of Communication Studies. His research interests include media’s effects on communication, social media communication, and semiotics of film and television. He is the campus advisor to the Alpha Gamma Phi chapter of the National Communication Association’s honor society, Lambda Pi Eta. In 2016, 2017, and 2018 he was awarded an Excellence in Teaching Grant. Among the courses he teaches are Documentary Film, Broadcast Journalism, and Digital Media.
Tanya Radford

Tanya Radford is Assistant Professor of English and Co-Director of Honors at Dominican University, where she teaches beginning and advanced writing courses, early American literature, Enlightenment literature, and children’s and young adult literature. She completed her B.A. and M.A. degrees at the University of Utah and then earned a Ph.D. in English from the City University of New York’s Graduate Center. Her doctoral research focused on affective response in 18th Century literature, and her current research continues that work by considering the cognitive and social benefits of leisure reading and the representation of reading, books, and libraries in works for young readers. She has published on Laurence Sterne’s A Sentimental Journey. In addition to her role as co-director of honors at DUNY, Dr. Radford serves on the executive board of the Northeast Regional Honors Council as well as the NRHC’s student journal – Illuminate – as part of its editorial team.
Margaret E. Mulligan

Professor Mulligan has been a full-time faculty member in the Mathematics department since 2002. She came to the college from the corporate world.
After graduating from the University of Scranton with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Magna cum laude, she worked at Bellcore (now Ericsson Technologies) for 12 years. As a Member of Technical Staff, she worked in the software division supporting outside plant engineers in the various telephone companies. She went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Mathematics from Seton Hall University, graduating with honors.
Professor Mulligan began at Dominican University as an adjunct instructor in January 1990 teaching Statistics in the Weekend College Program. She then taught the basic Math sequence in the ACCEL program for many years.
In addition to her degrees, Professor Mulligan holds NYS Teacher Certification for grades 7-12. She has been both a middle school and high school substitute teacher and taught as a long-term substitute for 5th grade and Advanced Math for eighth graders.

Dr. AnnMarie DelliPizzi received a B.S. in Biology from Manhattan College and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Pharmacology from New York Medical College. Her doctoral research focused on the role of constrictor eicosanoids in models of angiotensin II-dependent models of hypertension. Throughout her career, she has co-authored many peer-reviewed research articles which have been published in prestigious academic journals, including the American Journal of Physiology, Hypertension and the Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics. She co-authored two lab manuals with Dr. Emma Sarro, former Assistant Professor of Biology, Essentials of Anatomy and Physiology Lab I and Essentials of Anatomy and Physiology Lab II”, both of which are published by BVT.
Since arriving at Dominican University in 2004, Dr. DelliPizzi has taught a variety of courses, including Anatomy & Physiology, Genetics, and Histology. In 2016, she took on the role of Honors Program Director and then in 2020 became the Coordinator of the Health Sciences Program. Dr. DelliPizzi also serves as the Health Professions Advisor, helping students who are interested in applying to graduate programs in various fields of health care. She also serves as the Principal Investigator on a STEM grant received from the National Science Foundation and is actively involved in the Northeast Regional Honors Council.
Prior to her arrival at Dominican University, Dr. DelliPizzi was on the faculty at Manhattan College and the College of Mt. St. Vincent. She currently holds adjunct appointments in the Nursing Department at Lehman College and in the Pharmacology Department at New York Medical College, teaching both graduate and undergraduate courses in pharmacology.
Robert Stauffer, Ph.D.

Robert Stauffer began working at Dominican University in 2012. His research and teaching interests are in medieval and Renaissance literature, postcolonial studies, science fiction and fantasy literature, and early 20th century writers. He is currently working on editing and writing for a volume for Brill Publishing entitled A Marguerite Porete Companion focusing on Marguerite Porete, a thirteenth-fourteenth century beguine, and her book The Mirror of Simple Souls. His publications include fantasy short stories and baseball biography. He has given several papers at the International Congress on Medieval Studies at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Tara Parrello
Tara Parrello is Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice and Sociology and the Coordinator of Criminal Justice Studies. Dr. Parrello has earned two degrees from Fordham University, including a Ph.D. and a M.A. in Sociology. She completed her undergraduate studies at Manhattanville College, earning a B.A. in Sociology. Her areas of concentration include: criminology, gender, deviance, popular culture and body modification with a particular concentration in plastic surgery. Dr. Parrello has presented papers at national sociology and criminology conferences based on her dissertation, Look This Way: The Growth and Diversity of Plastic Surgery in Contemporary America and her research on juvenile crime and ethnic gangs.

Mike lives in West Nyack with his wife and two children and is involved in a number of community organizations including being a member of the West Nyack Little League Board of Directors for the past fifteen years.
