Director of Annual Giving & Alumni & Parent Relations

Dominican University New York seeks a dynamic Director of Annual Giving and Alumni & Parent Relations. This position reports directly to the V.P. of Institutional Advancement. The Director overseas all Annual Fund outreach including but not limited to direct mail, management of both in-house and outsourced phonathon programs, crowd funding, and full use of social media to reach an annual fundraising goal. As well, the Director is responsible for outreach and hosting of Alumni in both small and large group settings both on and off campus to cultivate annual fund giving.

In addition, the Director will be responsible for the supervision of the periodic publication of both in Charge and Charger Nation newsletters and assist all other members of Institutional Advancement in major events as it relates to Alumni recognition and attendance.

Required skills & qualifications:

Excellent interpersonal, organization, computer and communication skills as well as writing skills. Maintains a high level of professionalism, integrity, trust and confidentiality. Proficient in full Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge®, Mail Chimp and Constant Contact a plus.

Bachelor’s Degree required; Post Baccalaureate Degree desired. 7 + years in Fundraising. 5 + years in Higher Education and bilingual in English-Spanish a plus.
