Dr. Quinn has over three decades of acute care and leadership experience in critical care. the emergency department, and in maternal child health. He is a Certified Nurse Midwife and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with a research focus on women’s health care and obstetrical critical care. Dr. Quinn has published and presented his ongoing research in international peer reviewed journals and conferences. He is also the author of Sexually Transmitted Diseases: Your Questions Answered, Birth Control: Your Questions Answered, Teen Pregnancy: Your Questions Answered, Prenatal Possibilities: Recipes for a Healthy Pregnancy and Beyond, and Complementary Alternative Medicine: Your Questions Answered. He is a Fellow of the American College of Nurse Midwives, the New York Academy of Medicine, and a Luther Christman Fellow of the American Association of Men in Nursing.
Professional Interests
Dr. Quinn’s areas of scholarship includes nursing work force issues, women’s health care, men in nursing, and clinical innovation. He is an active member of the American Nurses Association, the American College of Nurse Midwives, the American Association of Critical-care Nursing, the Emergency Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau, and the Eastern Nursing Research Society. He is peer reviewer of several peer reviewed journals and a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of Women’s Healthcare.
