Dominican University and O & R Environmental Workshop Series Presents
TREE WORKSHOP
With Ken Chaya of New York Botanical Garden and Linnaean Society of New York
In this workshop, participants will be introduced to several trees in our neighborhood parks and green spaces. We will begin by looking at a tree critically, searching for seasonal field marks and details that will help in identification. We will analyze leaf shape and arrangement and discuss flowers, buds, fruit, and bark. Students will develop a new appreciation for our local trees as we discuss the substantial environmental benefits that trees provide.
