Testimonials

“Before coming to Dominican University for the Master of Science in Nursing Degree, I had worked as a Registered Nurse for over 20 years.  I joined the Family Nurse Practitioner Program with the anticipation of starting a new chapter in my life and extensively broadening my knowledge base.  I can proudly say that I have achieved those goals and that my time in the program has been both rewarding and gratifying.  The program, which is favorable for nurses who are balancing both professional and personal commitments, allows students to plan their schedule easily, and offers classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.  The professors are all practicing NP’s who bring both their expertise and wisdom to the classroom every day and challenge students in a supportive and enriching environment.  The rigorous classroom work, coupled with the hands-on clinical training, makes this program ideal for nurses seeking further education and fully prepares them to become competent, self-reliant practitioners in Family Practice.”

“My experience in the FNP program at Dominican has been great.  I started taking classes when my youngest child started kindergarten.  The program is flexible and I was able to take one class at a time for the first two years.  The classes were convenient on Tuesday and Thursday evenings and the location of the school was also convenient as I live in Rockland.  I found the professors to be very knowledgeable and skilled practitioners.  Overall, coming to Dominican was a life changing experience.  Now my youngest is in the second grade and I will graduate this spring.  I would highly recommend Dominican for anyone looking to further their education in a supportive community and setting.”
