Office Assistant – Admissions

Full-Time Position

Dominican University New York is seeking a Full-Time Office Assistant in our Admissions department. The Office Assistant is responsible for maintaining the day-to-day admissions systems of the graduate, transfer, and online programs. Serves as a primary point of contact for inquiries and applications, enters data into the student information system(s) and/or other systems, files forms, and applications, answers phones, and assists callers with basic information about the university and its programs, and prepares correspondence and information mailings. Reporting to the Senior Assistant Director of Admissions, he/she is part of the team that promotes a high level of efficiency, and accuracy as well as excellent customer service to prospective students and their families.

Qualifications: High School degree required; Bachelor’s Degree desired. 2-3 years of office experience is required; experience in a college admissions office is a plus. Must be able to multi-task, work independently and have outstanding customer service skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail. Knowledge of Microsoft environments, including Word and Excel.
