Program Details
As a student of the Online Social Sciences degree program you will develop valuable skills, including:
- Communication
- Information analysis, problem solving and critical thinking
- Civic responsibility
- Knowledge of and experience with the scientific method
- Application of quantitative and qualitative research methods
Courses are designed to emphasize the economic, political and psychological keystones of societal issues across the globe and to guide your understanding of the complex cultural relationships around the world resulting from historical reference, contemporary society and personal identity.
Dominican University’s coursework enables you to become a more effective and responsible citizen of the world through understanding the various dimensions of the inter-relationships between people, societies and cultures.
A minimum of 90 semester hours in liberal arts is required for a Bachelor of Arts degree. You can take a concentration in Psychology or Criminal Justice to fulfill your program.

Dominican University’s Online Social Sciences degree program offers a wide range of career opportunities after graduation. Enter the field of mental health, criminal justice, political science and human resources as well as community-based professions and discover a fulfilling career in social services.
Transfer Credits
Transfer students may be accepted to the Online Social Sciences degree program with:
- A maximum of 70 credits from an accredited two-year institution.
- A maximum of 90 credits from an accredited four-year institution .
A minimum of 30 credits must be completed at Dominican University for a degree.
