Key Responsibilities:

As a Transfer Admissions Counselor, you will be instrumental in guiding prospective students toward a transformative educational experience by:

  • Evaluating applicant credentials for admission and conducting comprehensive assessments of transfer credit.
  • Representing Dominican University at college transfer fairs and local businesses, captivating prospective students with our exceptional programs and opportunities.
  • Engaging in on and off-campus events that showcase the unique Dominican University experience
  • Initiating proactive student outreach and conducting personal appointments to address individual needs and aspirations.


  • Bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience in admissions is preferred
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-honed organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and a knack for adapting to new technologies.
  • Willingness to embrace travel, including evenings, weekends, and overnight assignments
  • Self-motivation, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong sense of personal accountability
  • Familiarity with Slate and Jenzabar is a plus
  • Fluency in Spanish is preferred, but not required.

Salary Range: $50,000 – $54,000
