DUNY students enjoyed making lanterns in the libra

DUNY students enjoyed making lanterns in the library's Learning Commons Café with help from Maggie & Alexa yesterday! 🏮 Alexa worked hard on the café's Lunisolar New Year (LNY) display, too, writing in different languages with some help from Karen & Maggie. 🧧 While red envelopes & lanterns are a traditional part of celebrating the new year in China, we wanted to acknowledge some of the other countries who celebrate LNY as well! 🌏 Happy Lunar (technically "Lunisolar") New Year!

We'll make paper lanterns out of red envelopes to celebrate the Year of the Fire Horse, which started this week. We'll meet in the Learning Commons; No registration for this free event, but supplies are limited. Happy Lunar New Year to all who celebrate!
