Our Campus

Dominican University is located in Rockland County, 17 miles north of New York City and approximately three miles north of Bergen County, New Jersey. This convenient suburban location offers easy access to the outstanding cultural and educational resources of New York City. The University is also an easy drive from West Point, outlet shopping in Paramus and Woodbury, and major sporting venues such as Met Life stadium, Madison Square Garden, the Prudential Center, Barclays Center, Citi Field, and Yankee Stadium. Honors Program

Our highest achieving students have the opportunity to intensify and enrich their undergraduate education by joining the Honors Program. There are several ways to enter the program. All incoming freshmen with a high school GPA of at least 3.00 and a combined English and Math SAT of 1100 are formally invited to join the Honors Program. Invitations are also extended to freshmen who have a GPA over 3.30 after their fall semester at the university. Finally, any student who has a GPA above 3.30 and is able to complete two honors designated courses as well as the six-credit honors project sequence is encouraged to apply to the Program Director for admission into the program. Career Development Center

The Career Development Center helps students transition from college to professional life. Due to our convenient location, our students have numerous internship opportunities. Athletics

The College’s NCAA Division II athletic program is recognized as one of the finest in the region, among small colleges. Dominican University has 15 varsity teams (seven for men and eight for women) that play in Division II of the NCAA. In the last five years, Dominican University’s student-athletes have won 10 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) championships and 9 tournaments and the teams have represented the College at national and regional NCAA tournaments 13 times. The women’s athletic program has been honored with three consecutive Alfred R. Restaino, Sr. Cups, the award given annually to the institution that performs best across the board in CACC-sponsored sports. Learn more about the Athletics Program >
