In 2007, Dominican University New York inducted its first recipients into the Alumni Hall of Achievement. This annual honor celebrates alumni whose exceptional accomplishments have made a meaningful impact in their professions, communities, or over the course of their lifetime.
Award Criteria
Nominees for the Dominican University New York Alumni Hall of Achievement should demonstrate one or more of the following:
Professional Excellence: Distinguished accomplishments and leadership in their career or field
Service to Dominican University or Community: Ongoing support, engagement, or advocacy that strengthens the University’s mission and community. Meaningful contributions that improve the lives of others through civic, volunteer, or philanthropic work
Leadership & Integrity: Evidence of strong character, ethical leadership, and a commitment to positive change
Lifetime Achievement: Sustained impact over time through notable accomplishments and influence
Eligibility Requirements
Nominee must be an alumnus/alumna of Dominican University New York
Nominees may be honored posthumously
Current University employees may be considered at the discretion of the selection committee
How to Nominate
To nominate an alumnus/alumna for the Dominican University New York Alumni Hall of Achievement, please complete the nomination form and provide a brief statement describing the nominee’s accomplishments and impact. Supporting materials, such as newspaper clippings, a biography, or letters of recommendation are encouraged but not required.
Nominations may be submitted by employers, alumni, faculty, staff, students, or members of the community. All submissions are reviewed by a selection committee.

Nominations
Recipients must be a graduate of Dominican University, and must demonstrate at least two of the criteria listed above to be considered for the Annual Alumni Hall of Achievement Award.
Proceeds collected from the Reunion & Alumni Hall of Achievement are put into an endowed fund for the Alumni Scholarship for a student of a Dominican University alumna/us.
