Welcome from the Office of Student Development

Please take some time to explore our area through the links on the right to get a full understanding of the importance we place on campus life and student development.

Student Development is led by the Office of Student Development and ties together the offices of Residence Life, Student Activities, Community Engagement & Leadership Development, Athletics, the Career Development Center, Counseling Services, including Prevention and Education Services, Campus Ministry, and the Student Health Center. Through support, advocacy, programming, and services our offices work around the clock to enhance campus life and develop the overall student experience at Dominican University.

University life is much more than lectures, tests, books, and studying. It is also about meeting diverse people, experiencing new and exciting things, developing your personal skills, enhancing your interests or finding new ones, but most of all it is about growth. Students are encouraged to take advantage of all that Dominican University has to offer, whether it is a leadership or service opportunity, joining a student club, or the Student Government Association (SGA), becoming a Resident Assistant (RA), or attending an event. Getting involved will benefit you both in and out of the classroom and will give you memories to last a lifetime.

The Office of Student Development, Residence Life, and the Career Development Center are located in Rosary Hall. The Offices of Student Activities, Community Engagement and Campus Ministry are in Casey Hall. Counseling Services, including Prevention and Education Services, can be found in Forkel Hall. The Granito Center houses our Student Health Center and University Bookstore. The Hennessy Center is home to Charger Athletics and our fitness center. Please stop by to visit, make suggestions, or just hang out!

If you need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us or any member of the Student Development Team.
