Sports Teams Resume Competitions After COVID Shutdown
Dominican University athletic teams have resumed competitions after the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) cancelled all intercollegiate competitions during the fall 2020 season due to safety concerns from COVID-19.
Athletic Director Joseph Clinton said everyone pulled together to get the spring season underway. When asked if the athletes learned anything from the experience, he said, “I hope they learned don’t take anything for granted. You never know what’s going to happen. Appreciate what you have. I think it brought each team a little bit closer.”
Athletes competing undergo regular COVID-19 testing and follow strict safety protocols.
