Research Economist, Federal Reserve Bank of New York
Dr. Natalia Emanuel is a research economist in Microeconomics at the New York Fed. Her work focuses on personnel economics, child welfare, and the criminal justice system, with an emphasis on informal labor markets and workplace policies that support both firms and workers.
She earned her Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University in 2021 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Princeton’s Industrial Relations Section in 2022. Prior to that, Dr. Emanuel received a B.A. in economics from Yale University and an M.Sc. in Evidence-Based Social Policy from Oxford University, where she studied as a Marshall Scholar.
