How to Apply for Financial Aid
Students enrolled in a graduate program at Dominican University, may be eligible for Federal Financial Aid. To apply for federal aid, file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) annually at http://www.fafsa.gov.

The Nurse Corps Scholarship Program (Nurse Corps SP) offers scholarships to nursing students who are willing to commit to a minimum two-year, full-time service at an eligible healthcare facility facing a critical shortage of nurses. To qualify, applicants must meet certain eligibility requirements and maintain compliance with the program's standards.
Types of Aid Available for Graduate Students
- Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loans are available to students enrolled at least half-time in required coursework per semester. Students enter repayment six months after they graduate or cease half-time enrollment.

You must also be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen, as well as be matriculated and attending at least half-time.
- The Brother James Kearney Scholarship for the Blind, provided by the Lavelle Fund for the Blind, Inc., awards grants up to a maximum of $15,000 per year. The scholarship aims to help make undergraduate and graduate education affordable for financially needy tri-state area students who are legally blind or severely visually impaired and capable of college-level study.

Scholarship: Dr. Liliana Lopez and EN SU CASA, Primary Health Care are offering a Nurse Practitioner Scholarship covering 50% tuition for qualified recipients – after each semester is completed – consistent with an approved GPA. Candidates must be students entering the Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) degree at Dominican College, and must be bi-lingual in Spanish and English; fluency to be determined by a qualified party. The student will also be guaranteed a clinical placement at one of En Su Casa’s clinics – and continue working with ESC for two years under our Residency Program – following the successful completion of Dominican College’s Family Nurse Practitioner course of study.

Clinical Program (internship): En Su Casa is offering a Clinical Program (internship) for qualified Nurse Practitioner students at Dominican College. The program will consist of weekly clinical hours to be conducted at one of the ESC clinics and under the direct supervision of an experienced licensed Nurse Practitioner. Qualified students will meet with Dr. Lopez after each term for performance review and continued mentorship. At the completion of the student’s clinical rotation – qualified students will be eligible to apply for En Su Casa’s Residency Program, after graduating from the Dominican College Family Nurse Practitioner course of study.
