Pope’s Visit to New York Puts the Media Spotlight on Dominican University

When Pope Francis made his first trip to the U.S. at the end of September it was an exciting time for American Catholics, including those at Dominican University. The College was fortunate to receive 40 tickets from the NY Archdiocese to see Pope Francis celebrate mass at Madison Square Garden on Friday, September 25, 2015. Interested students, faculty, administrators and staff were randomly selected to attend the mass and be part of his historic visit.

The Pope’s visit also led to a lot of media attention for Dominican University, with our administrators speaking as commentators on radio and TV and our students being featured on radio and TV newscasts, as follows:
