Raymond J. McGuire, Citi’s Global Head of Corporate and Investment Banking, will deliver the Commencement Address at the Dominican College Graduation Ceremony at the Westchester County Center in White Plains, NY.
During his career, McGuire has advised on numerous transactions valued at well over $600 billion, including advising Time Warner on its $108 billion transaction with AT&T, the fifth largest merger and acquisition transaction of all time.
The graduate of Harvard College, Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School worked his way up to the top of the Investment Banking field from modest beginnings in inner city Dayton, Ohio, where he was raised by his mother, a social worker. He credits his family with providing him with an upbringing full of love, honor, respect, integrity – and most importantly faith.
McGuire mentors and motivates African-Americans in the financial sector, and is a passionate supporter of education and the arts. He serves on several boards including De La Salle Academy, Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, the New York Public Library, the Studio Museum in Harlem, Whitney Museum of American Art, the Citi Foundation, the Foundation for Art and Preservation in Embassies, the Alex Hillman Family Foundation, the International Center of Photography and New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
During the Dominican College Commencement Exercises, McGuire will be presented with an honorary degree, Doctor of Humanities, honoris causa. The Commencement Exercises will be held on Sunday, May 21, at 2 p.m.
