My professors’ mentorship helped me grow both personally and professionally — showing me the impact one can have on students’ lives. This program helped me grow more confident in my abilities and find what I’m truly capable of achieving.
When I started Dominican’s MBA program, I had the ambition — but my professors helped me build the confidence to lead in an industry that never stops changing. They challenged me to think bigger and believe in my own potential. That foundation has shaped my entire career.
Being in a smaller program where professors actually know my name has felt very different — in the best way. The weekend format let me keep working, and being out in clinicals has shown me how intentional the curriculum truly is. I feel confident and well-prepared for real patient care.
The Finance program gave me real opportunities — from competing in an entrepreneurship course and winning seed funding, to representing DUNY at career conferences and connecting with CEOs and CFOs. I’ve also captained the rowing team and am launching a risk management chapter on campus.
I didn’t just choose Dominican University from an education standpoint — I chose it because it was a community that would shape who I am. My professors guided me to achievements beyond what I believed possible for myself. I’m leaving with friendships that will last a lifetime.
Dominican University has transformed my passion into intentional, research-driven practice. As a career changer, what makes this program especially powerful is how seamlessly learning transfers into my classroom. Dr. Kelly pushed me to think critically — and I’ve grown not just in practice, but in purpose.
My advisor helped me move past the textbooks and tackle actual business challenges while building a real professional network. What I valued most were the meaningful collaborations with classmates and professors — and the hands-on experience managing DUNY’s business Instagram.
My journey in the Adolescence Education and Students with Disabilities program has been incredibly meaningful. I’ve grown in knowledge and confidence, but also in patience, compassion, and advocacy. This program has deepened my passion for becoming an educator who makes a real difference.
Dominican University’s small campus means you truly get to know people — students and staff alike. Teachers make classes exciting and take the time to make students feel valued. The campus always has events, new opportunities, and clubs that make it easy to get involved and feel supported.
I love learning about real cases and how the legal system works in practice. My Criminal Justice classes have strengthened my passion for the field and confirmed my goal of becoming a lawyer — advocating for others and making a meaningful impact through the legal system.
Dominican University let me fully invest in both of my passions. The English program reignited my love for reading and writing, while Education coursework challenged me to apply real instructional strategies in actual classrooms. I left a more confident, practicing educator — supported every step of the way.
As a career changer, I needed a practical environment to help me transition into education. The program delivered. Dr. Kelly and my professors created a space that both supports and challenges us. The more you invest in this program, the more you gain — and I’ve gained more than I expected.
