Trunk or Treat

The Office of Student Engagement invites faculty and staff to be part of this year’s Trunk or Treat on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 5:30–7:30 p.m.

This is one of our favorite community traditions — last year we welcomed over 200 families, but we only had about 10 decorated cars. This year, we need your help and support to make the event bigger and better than ever!
Departments, classes, and teams are encouraged to join by decorating a trunk  and handing out candy to families. All trunks will automatically be entered into our Car Competitions  for categories like Fan Favorite, Best Overall Theme, and Most Creative Decorations, with prizes for the winners!
Register your trunk here: Trunk or Treat Registration Form
We’re also collecting candy donations so we have backup in case trunks run out during the event. Donations can be dropped off anytime between now and October 23 at the CSEC (Granito 206).
There will be fun for all ages and desserts for purchase from La Casa Di Dolce. This event is a true community celebration for ALL of DUNY — so whether you participate with a trunk, donate candy, or just attend with your family, we’d love for you to be part of it.
Thank you for helping us grow this tradition and make it a festive night for our students, colleagues, and community!

This conference began in the 1980’s. Late each Spring semester, during the last 1-2 weeks of school, Dominican University Psychology Program hosts an undergraduate psychology conference.  All Dominican Psychology majors present their capstone research at the conference as part of their senior seminar (PS472) requirements. Most students present their research orally using PowerPoint slides but occasionally present posters.

The conference is open to any undergraduate students who wish to present psychological research or theoretical papers, regardless of whether they are students in PS472. In addition, other universities and high schools are welcome to present or attend (high school students are limited to presenting posters unless they receive special permission from the Conference Coordinator).

“Doing Business Right” Night

Please join us for our “finest hour” at our 5th Annual Doing Business Right (DBR) Night on Wednesday, December 3rd at 4pm in the Holt Room in the Hennessy Center on DUNY’s campus.

We call DBR Night our “finest hour” because it is when some of our top students share their best projects, internships, or other experiences with the DUNY community. In just over one hour, you will see:

The Market Research project conducted by our students for the Village of Nyack
A summary of our Palisades Institute research and forum on “Managing a Remote Workforce”
A Sports Media & Promotion project on NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness)
An Information Systems project conducted by IT students this semester
Four winning poster presentations for the Nike marketing project in our Senior Capstone
Highlights of student moderated podcasts from DUNIFY – our new space on Spotify

We will also preview some of the innovation and research that is taking place next semester – including work on tariffs and AI.

To hear more from our students and faculty, check out the many new podcasts on DUNIFY (on Spotify). You can also learn more about what our students are up to by following their posts @duny_biz on Instagram.
