Celebrate the Patron Saint of Artists with Creativity and Community.
Join us for a relaxing afternoon of art and fellowship as we honor the feast day of Blessed Fra Angelico, the famous 15th-century Dominican friar and painter. Known for his breathtaking frescoes and devotion, Fra Angelico believed that “to paint Christ, one must live with Christ.”
In the spirit of the Dominican tradition of the arts, we invite you to pick up a brush, sip a refreshing mocktail, and find your own creative inspiration.
Go Beyond the Classroom. Discover Solidarity.
Each January, a group of DUNY students travels to the rural village of Sol Naciente, El Salvador, to work with children and partner with local communities. This is more than just a service trip… it is an immersion into a different culture, a lesson in global justice, and a transformative personal journey.
Come hear directly from the students who recently returned from this year’s trip. They will share their stories, photos, and insights about the “Land of Volcanoes” and the incredible people they met along the way.
Send some love to the Sisters of St. Dominic!
Stop by our pop-up station to help brighten the day of the retired Sisters who have dedicated their lives to our community. This is a simple, meaningful way for the DUNY family to show our gratitude and share some Valentine’s Day joy.
The Sisters of St. Dominic are the heart of our university’s history and mission. Our retired Sisters love hearing from current students and staff—your message is a wonderful reminder of the vibrant community they helped build.
