Anna Wang: Pocketbook Bingo

Anna Wang ’21 – Athletic Training / Physical Therapy

This year’s pocketbook bingo was held on Thursday, October 25th, 2017 in the Lawrence Room at 7 pm. The money raised goes to the Annual Fund which supports classroom and lab upgrades, additional tuition assistance, service learning opportunities and much more.. The attendees were alumni that graduated from Dominican University as well as friends of the College. Each ticket sold at the door cost $40 and includes 10 bingo game cards. Additional game cards are also available for purchase. Prizes included various designer brand handbags such as Michael Kors, Kate Spade, Vera Bradley, Cole Haan, etc…There are also door prizes, raffle prizes, 50/50 raffles, and lots of laughs. If there are two bingos, a deck of cards is drawn. Whoever has the card with the higher number wins the designer bag, while the card with the lower number gets a handbag. John Lennon was one responsible for calling out the numbers, his silly jokes made the night even more fun. Prior to attending Pocketbook Bingo, I had interviewed Mary Lichtman, who is the Director of Special Events and Mary McHugh, who is the Director of Alumni.
