Earn your M.S. in Education on your schedule

Designed for working professionals, classes meet every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday). Complete the program in as little as 18 months, or take up to three years at your own pace. Programs follow the University’s quarter system and lead to a Master of Science in Education (M.S. Ed.) with eligibility for New York State Certification.

Teacher of Students with Disabilities (SWD)

Recommendation for certification as a Teacher of Students with Disabilities (SWD) and Severe/Multiple Disabilities annotation.

Initial SWD certification for those already certified in another area.

SWD-certified teachers seeking Severe/Multiple Disabilities annotation.

Teachers holding other certifications may pursue Bilingual Education extension.

Teacher of Students Who Are Blind or Visually Impaired (TVI) Curriculum Pathways

Leads to M.S. in Education and NYS Certification as a TVI teacher (including multiple impairments).

Prepares certified teachers for the NYS TVI exam.
