Weekend Doctor of Physical Therapy Program

Designed for working professionals, the weekend DPT program allows students to balance their studies with other commitments. Classes are held on eight alternate weekends each trimester, running full days on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This flexible format provides the same high-quality education as traditional programs while accommodating busy schedules.

3+3 B.A. in Biology + Doctor of Physical Therapy

Designed for high school applicants, this accelerated pathway offers direct admission into the undergraduate PT program for those ready to begin their physical therapy careers right away. By integrating undergraduate and graduate coursework, students can streamline their education and enter the field faster without sacrificing the depth and rigor required for professional success.

MBA Pathway for DPT Students

The MBA Pathway for DPT students offers a seamless transition into healthcare leadership. Successful graduates of the DPT program can receive up to six credits of advanced standing toward an MBA in Healthcare, with the opportunity to earn an additional six MBA credits while still enrolled in the DPT program. The admissions process is expedited, with no GMAT requirement and no application fee, making it easier for students to take the next step in their careers.

Continuing Education for PT Professionals

DUNY offers world-class continuing education opportunities in collaboration with leading organizations such as NAIOMT, Myofascial Pain Seminars, Neurodynamic Solutions, and the Institute of Physical Art. These courses are designed to keep physical therapy professionals at the forefront of their field, providing advanced training in specialized techniques and emerging best practices.

Physical Therapy Pro Bono Clinic

Established in 2019, the Dominican University Physical Therapy Clinic provides free rehabilitation services to students, faculty, and staff. Operated by graduate students under the direct supervision of licensed faculty members, the clinic offers hands-on learning experiences while giving back to the university community. This initiative enhances clinical skills while reinforcing the values of service and patient-centered care.
