Rockland County Executive Ed Day and Orange County Executive Steven Neuhaus talked about their efforts to improve the fiscal outlook, crack down on welfare fraud, fight state mandates and bring business into their counties during today’s County Executives Forum at Dominican College, sponsored by the Palisades Institute.
“Today’s Palisades Institute Forum provided Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus and me a valuable opportunity to share our experiences and visions with an engaged audience of local business leaders,” said Rockland County Executive Ed Day. “Both counties face similar economic challenges. By working with each other and our residents, Steve and I will continue to move our counties forward into brighter futures.”
During the forum at Rosary Hall, the leaders talked about their accomplishments and answered questions from the audience on current topics. Both Day and Neuhaus are Republicans who began their four-year terms in January 2014.
The Palisades Institute was created in 1990 as part of Dominican College to serve business, government and not-for-profit organizations in Rockland and nearby counties. The Institute encourages professionals to integrate the concepts of Leadership, Quality and Ethics to achieve long-term success.
