Global Study Abroad
Study abroad on a week, month or semester-long program with our study abroad consortium partner, St. John’s University.
Experience the rewards of a mission driven trip by following in the Footsteps of St. Dominic. You will also register for the 3-credit course, France in the Middle Ages, offered by Dominican University and learn about the history, philosophy, art and literature of the period.
Sol Naciente, El Salvador
Study the life of Oscar Romero, Archbishop of San Salvador during El Salvador's brutal civil war. Romero was also known as the "bishop of the poor" for his work defending the Salvadoran people.
Language Immersion Programs
With a flexible program offering languages in thirteen locations, students may choose courses ranging in length (2 to 52 weeks) and intensity.
Follow these steps to get started
Select length of program and your preferred time of year.
Select the time of year: winter, spring, summer or fall
Select the length: 1 week, 2 weeks, a month, a full semester
Complete all application materials.
Obtain and review the application required for the program of interest. Students must have a minimum Grade Point Average of 2.7 to participate in academic Study Abroad programs.
After the above application materials are fully completed, bring a copy of the Request for Off-Campus Coursework form, along with a printout of the off-campus course descriptions, to your advisor for his or her approval. You will then need the approval of the Division Director. After obtaining all the necessary signatures, bring the form and course descriptions to Office of the Academic Dean, located in the Casey Hall, to discuss the next steps.
