DUNY Card

The DUNY Card is a multipurpose Dominican University ID card that identifies you as a Dominican University student. You will also use your DUNY Card to

• Pay for food in the campus dining halls, vending machines, and participating offsite vendors
• Enter University buildings, such as the Hennessy Fitness center, or to gain admittance to certain University events.
• Check out books from the Sullivan Library.
• Pay for printing and copying in the computer labs.

ACTIVATING YOUR DUNY ID CARD

To expedite the process and have your ID ready when you arrive on campus, please submit a photo and a copy of your government-issued ID to 1CardSupport@DUNY.EDU

Acceptable forms of government issued-identification include:

• Driver’s license
• U.S. or foreign passport
• Military ID
• INS I-551 Resident Alien Card

PHOTO REQUIREMENTS

Please make sure that your photo adheres to the following requirements:

• No other people or objects in photo
• Solid color background (white is best)
• Color Photo
• Cropped from just above the top of head to shoulders.
• Looking straight at the camera (no side profiles)
• No hats, masks or sunglasses

CARD USE AT OFFSITE LOCATIONS

Several offsite community businesses accept Dominican Dollars as payment for goods and services. You can purchase prescriptions, over-the-counter medications, and healthcare items at CVS. Get a haircut, blowout or color your hair at Amante Salon & Barbershop, get a carwash or oil change at Our Town Car Wash, have a meal at one of the many restaurants and dessert at Allie’s or Baskin Robins.

Each of the available Dominican University Meal Plans includes Dominican Dollars.
To add additional Dominican Dollars to an account, simply visit the Dominican Dollars Portal.

Please note: Meal Plan funds and Dominican Dollars are separate funds and cannot be used at these locations.
